Vitamin C For Kids
|
There are a lot of vitamins especially for adults, such as ginseng, etc., but kids exist too. There would not be any adults if there were no kids. So to have a good future generation, we must take care of kids (whether your own or your friends or family). There are some foods (which some kids like) that contain vitamins that kids need especially. This is a short list of them: 1. Apples. (Which include crab apple, custard ,apply, etc.) I'm sure a lot of people have heard the phrase or saying "An apple a day, keeps the doctor away." (It means, if you eat an apple a day, you won't have to see the doctor) The saying is somewhat true, and most kids like apples. For smaller aged kids, cut the apples into slices for them. Smaller slices for smaller kids; their teeth are not made for hard foods yet. Apples provide vitamin C for kids. 2. Oranges. There is no saying or expression for oranges for kids to remember to eat oranges, but oranges are antioxidants, and are also very healthy. The peels of an orange may also be eaten. Oranges provide vitamin C for kids. 3. Lemons. Unfortunately, there is no saying or phrase for lemons either, but lemons are also an antioxidant. A lot of kids do not like lemons because they are too sour. Some people have gotten through to make them eat lemons, but others just let them eat other fruits. Lemonade (lemon juice) works very well on kids - squeeze the juice from lemons and mix it in with water (and sugar if you like), and you have lemonade. Lemons also provide vitamin C for kids. 4. Watermelon. Watermelons are only good and ripe in the summer, for hot weather, but are still sold in other seasons; they just are not as ripe and juicy. Most kids do like watermelons in the summer. Cut them into little pieces rather in regular watermelon slices for kids to eat them easier. Watermelons provide a fair amount of vitamin C for kids. 5. Grapes. Grapes are easy to eat; most kids like them seedless. Some kids like the skin peeled off; either way is fine. Grapes do provide a good amount of vitamin C for kids. 6. Pears. Pears are harder to eat than apples because their surface is harder than apples. Pears should be cut up into pieces or slices for kids. Pears give a good amount of vitamin C for kids. 7. Strawberries. Strawberries have a good amount of vitamin C for kids, but not all kids like strawberries. Strawberries can be put into a blender with other fruits such as bananas, and can be made into fruit smoothies, fruit juice, etc. 8. Raspberries. Raspberries are different from cherries and strawberries, but are still red in colour. Some kids like raspberries, some don't. |
